MTN DEW is joining forces with the HBCU Esports League and RDC World, a creative collective of entertainers, to bring the Real Change Challenge back to HBCU Students nationwide. With a focus on increasing Black representation in esports and gaming, the MTN DEW Real Change Challenge will support HBCU student gamers by sponsoring a nationwide HBCU Mortal Kombat 1 tournament. THE MTN DEW REAL CHANGE CHALLENGE CELEBRATES HBCUSTUDENTS WORKING TOWARD GREATER INCLUSION IN THEGAMING COMMUNITY.
In 2022, MTN DEW® set out to address the lack of Black gamers in esports. By establishing the MTN DEW Real Change Challenge, we hope to level the playing field and increase Black representation in all facets of gaming.
The MTN DEW Real Change Challenge celebrates HBCU students by continuing their ongoing commitment to support and uplift Black gamers. Following the incredible success of the MTN DEW Real Change Challenge last year, and more importantly, the tangible impact the brand was able to make for participating HBCU gamers, we are thrilled to continue this initiative in 2023.
